"Tram Bau" has long been considered a precious herb, treating many diseases in humans and aquatic animals with the ability to resist some bacterial species that cause diseases in aquatic animals by extracts from the seeds and leaves of the plant. brooch.

The use of antibiotics and chemicals for disease prevention and treatment for aquatic animals is currently facing a number of major challenges such as the phenomenon of multi-drug resistance of pathogenic bacteria, environmental pollution, and contaminated water. contain factors that cause food insecurity for consumers of aquatic products. Since then, the application of some herbs to replace or limit antibiotics as well as chemicals is the current progressive trend.

However, at present, most of the researches on using brocade trees stop using the extract of the seeds of the plant to kill parasites on aquatic animals.

B.   Extraction of Tram Bau oil in Aquaculture

The seeds contain tannins, fatty oils, fatty acids, calcium oxalates, free oxalic acids, etc. The oil content in the seeds is 12%, the unsavory substances are 4.3%. The oil is reddish-brown. In the fatty acid composition, there is palmitic acid (5.91%) and linoleic acid (2.31%), so the oil is synthesized as detergents, can be used for eating, if it is carefully refined right after taking out the oil and removing the toxin. These compounds when combined will have the effect of killing parasites such as flukes and worms on aquatic animals.

Considering each part separately (leaves or seeds), the antibacterial water extract is better than the alcohol extract, and the antibacterial seed extract is better than the leaf extract.
